Thirty-Five Years of American Fiberglass Craftsmanship

Since 1991, Level 08 Composite Structures and Fabrication, LLC has been building things that are meant to last — fiberglass pool shells, aquaculture tanks, pressure vessels, and the vacuum-infused hulls of American Eagle Canoes — all hand-built and engineered right here in Cocoa, Florida.

We didn't start as a company with a slide deck and a five-year plan. We started the way most real manufacturers do: with a mold, a roll of fiberglass, and a commitment to build it right the first time. Three and a half decades later, that commitment hasn't changed — only the precision behind it has.

Where It Started

Level 08's roots trace back to American Eagle, where the first canoe hulls were laid up by hand in the early 1990s. That early work — learning how resin, reinforcement, and gel-coat behave under real-world stress, season after season, customer after customer — became the foundation for everything we build today. The lessons learned laminating a canoe hull that has to survive rocks, sun, and saltwater for twenty years are the same lessons that now go into a pool shell that has to hold chlorinated water for decades, or a pressure vessel that can't afford to fail.

That heritage is why American Eagle Canoes still carries the Level 08 name on every hull — and why our industrial products are built with the same standards we've always held ourselves to on the water.

How We Grew

What began with canoes expanded, customer by customer and project by project, into a full line of custom fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) manufacturing:

  • Aquaculture Tanks — custom round, oval, rectangular, and cone-bottom fiberglass tanks for RAS systems, hatcheries, nurseries, and grow-out farms, from 100 gallons to over 10,000 gallons

  • Pressure Tanks — FRP pressure vessels for water treatment, irrigation distribution, chemical containment, and industrial process systems, laminated to each customer's operating pressure and flange specifications

  • Swimming Pools — factory-laminated fiberglass pool shells with custom plan dimensions, depth profiles, steps, benches, and swim-out ledges, built to outlast vinyl liners and concrete resurfacing cycles

  • Custom FRP Fabrication — one-off and short-run composite components, molds, and structures built to a customer's drawings when nothing off-the-shelf will do

  • American Eagle Canoes — vacuum-infused fiberglass canoe hulls, still built in-house, carrying forward the brand that started it all

We didn't grow by chasing every market. We grew because the same lamination discipline that builds a reliable canoe hull translates directly into a reliable tank, a reliable pressure vessel, a reliable pool shell, and a reliable custom part. Every product we make shares the same DNA: real fiber-reinforcement schedules, real resin systems, and real attention to the details that determine whether something lasts ten years or thirty.

How We Build

Quality isn't a marketing word here — it's a process. Every Level 08 product is built on:

  • Vinyl ester and gel-coat systems chosen for chemical resistance and long-term surface durability, not just lowest cost

  • Engineered lamination schedules — woven and chopped-strand reinforcement built to the structural demands of each application, not a one-size-fits-all layup

  • Vacuum infusion for American Eagle Canoes, producing a precise fiber-to-resin ratio, a lighter hull, and zero voids — a higher standard than traditional hand-layup

  • Custom mold and dimensional flexibility, so a tank, vessel, or pool shell is built to the customer's actual specifications, not forced into a generic template

We supply laminate and dimensional documentation on request, because we're comfortable standing behind what's inside every product we ship — not just what it looks like on the outside.

Who We Are Today

Level 08 Composite Structures and Fabrication, LLC remains an independently operated, American-made manufacturer — not a franchise, not a private-equity rollup, and not a company that outsources its lamination work overseas. Every shell, tank, and hull that leaves our Cocoa, Florida facility has been touched by people who've spent their careers learning what fiberglass can and can't do, and who take it personally when a product carries our name.

Thirty-five years in, we're not interested in being the biggest fiberglass fabricator in the country. We're interested in being the one customers come back to — for the next pool, the next tank, the next fleet of canoes — because the first one held up exactly the way we said it would.

Looking Ahead

The materials have changed. The equipment has improved. The product line has grown well beyond a single canoe hull. But the standard hasn't moved: build it to perform, build it to last, and stand behind it.

That's been true since 1991. It's still true today.
